Our Place
We sit on a couple of attractive acres here in tranquil Readington Township, in Hunterdon County. The road in front of the practice (Route 523) has grown to be much, much busier that it was 35 years ago.
The building is deceivingly large, with 26 rooms on 2 floors. Clients usually just see the front office and the examination rooms. But there is much more.
There are a number of active bluebird boxes across the property. See our Blues and Hoots page. And Dr. Wayne likes to plant trees – he fancies himself something of a Johnny Appleseed.
When we first moved here, the back of the property abutted a dairy farm. We thought this was wonderful. We could see dairy cows from our back window (we lived here for the first 10 years). The dairy farmer apologized to us ahead of time saying that occasionally a cow would break fence, and walk across our property. We told him that was no problem with us, and we said his cows were welcome to walk across our property any time they wanted to. The farm still lies behind the practice, but sadly, there are no more cows.
Also at the back of the property sits our barn. Dr. Wayne insists that someday the barn will house his 1950s ‘muscle car’ - which he does not yet have (and probably never will have). Oh well.
